Movie Reviews: Black Swan (Όπως το ζητήσατε :D)

Black Swan - 2,5/5
Well, from Darren Aronofksy the director of the film, also Pi, Requiem for a Dream, i would expect more. Everyone should. The only thing that stands out - besides the Tchaikovsky's ballet music, of course- is Natalie Portman, who really gives her character that extra twist making it memorable and her...

...performance outstanding. A big part of Black Swan's success is based on the performance of Natalie Portman, and well, this is why the score isn't lower. For me the film mostly fails to be epic, which can be proven by all the laughter of the audience right where i'm sure it was not meant to. Also the ending was kind of predictable even though it is supposed to be a surprise. All in all, Black Swan is about how you can find your inner darker self and that everybody has one especially if the grow up in hard environments. It is a nice idea but poorly brought to the big screen.

Pros
-Natalie Portman's performance. Amazing.
-The music of Tchaikovsky's ballet.

Cons
-Some scenes are just ridiculous.
-The ending.
-The trailer told the whole story.
